Malecón del Río encendió sus luces de navidad
Considerado uno de los sitios mas visitados del mundo, este lugar en Barranquilla le toma la delantera a las demás ciiudades en alumbrado.
El alumbrado de la temporada navideña se encendió oficialmente en Barranquilla en el Gran Malecón del río, el sitio más visitado por los colombianos según estudios de turismo este año y que será el epicentro de ‘Barranquilla, mundo de sueños’, la campaña que abre las puertas a propios y visitantes para disfrutar la temporada en familia.
El gerente de Alumbrado Público de Barranquilla, Carlos Sarabia, indicó que son “más de 1.000.000 de bombillos iluminarán 6 árboles de 14 metros decorados acorde a los mundos, en el Gran Malecón. También, nuestra cúpula de 10 metros de altura que recibirá a todos los visitantes; el pueblo de Belén; 240 pendones y más de 700 figuras que iluminaran el Gran Malecón, el sitio más visitado de Colombia y merecedor de premios internacionales, que recibirán a los barranquilleros y visitantes en la época de Navidad”.
Añadió que este diciembre de 2022 el Gran Malecón de Barranquilla se transforma en un Mundo de Sueños a orilla del río Magdalena, con un alumbrado navideño lleno de colores, historias de Navidad y esperanza para las familias.
“A lo largo del Malecón, y en sus diferentes zonas de gastronomía y recreo-deportivas, fueron situadas 9 estaciones desde el sector de Puerta de Oro hasta la calle 72, las cuales fueron denominadas: Sueña sin límites, Árbol de los sueños, Sueño del norte, La vida es un sueño, Suenan tus sueños, Todos soñamos, Canta tu sueño, Sueños de colores y Sueños que iluminan”, explicaron desde la alcaldía.
Operativos de control
A través las diferentes secretarías y dependencias las autoridades distritales pusieron en marcha el denominado Plan Navidad, con el fin de garantizar la seguridad, sana convivencia, bienestar y disfrute de los barranquilleros y visitantes durante la época decembrina y el fin de año.
Las acciones que iniciaron a partir de este 1 de diciembre y contemplan 60 operativos de control interinstitucional en las 5 localidades del Distrito de Barranquilla, en los cuales se visitarán 500 establecimientos de comercio entre bares, hoteles, casinos, billares, residencias, parques, centros comerciales y restaurantes.
Con esto busca mantener y controlar el orden público; disminuir los índices de quemados con pólvora; combatir la venta de licor a menores de edad; evitar la comercialización de juguetes bélicos; generar acciones preventivas para frenar las intoxicaciones por el consumo de licor adulterado, al igual que las riñas; disminuir la accidentalidad causada por conductores en estado de embriaguez y, finalmente, prevenir la especulación en el precio de productos de alta demanda durante la Navidad y fin de año.
Por su parte, la Oficina para la Seguridad y Convivencia Ciudadana desplegará diversas acciones preventivas en diferentes puntos priorizados en la ciudad, donde “se contará con la estrategia Tu CAI Amigo, en articulación con la Policía Metropolitana de Barranquilla. Esta estrategia consiste en la dotación de equipos de comunicación con su respectiva línea de telefonía móvil para conectarlos con los frentes de seguridad y redes de apoyo de los alrededores de 43 CAI en el Distrito”, señalaron las autoridades.
Bajo este mismo trabajo articulado se llevarán a cabo las Caravanas por la Vida, que visitarán establecimientos comerciales para regular y promover el cumplimiento del Código Nacional de Seguridad y Convivencia.
Asimismo, con el fin de disfrutar una temporada navideña sin lesiones por pólvora e intoxicaciones por fósforo blanco o alcohol, la alcaldía de Barranquilla, a través de la Secretaría Distrital de Salud, lideró jornada de formación para más de 400 personas del sector salud, autoridades de gobierno, Policía, Bomberos y otras instituciones, con el fin de actualizar y afinar detalles en materia preventiva para recibir la temporada decembrina en la ciudad.
Lo anterior teniendo en cuenta que en el período 2021-2022 se reportaron 8 quemados con pólvora, en comparación con los 13 que se registraron en la temporada 2020-2021. Según las estadísticas de la Secretaría de Salud, hay una disminución del 38%, pero los casos no cesan por lo que hace un fuerte llamado a evitar el uso de estos elementos.
